"In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present." - Francis Bacon

Soundtrack for the pic: Jab deep jale aana

This is my first attempt with 'negative space'. Thank you Nish for the inspiration.

Nice picture.

How about the song 'Diye jalte hain, phool kilte hain, badi mushkil se magar duniya mein dost milte hain' from the movie Namak Haram? (Though its not a diya actually)

Happy Friendship day magiclens :-)

Hey ML - Thought it was some trick picture of the moon ! :)

Reminds me of the story about Birbal sitting in a cold pond and looking at a distant light to imagine warmth and keep warm. :D

Oyster, thank you.

Ferrari, ty. Thats a nice song and the lyrics r so true. H F D to you too.

CB, forgot to mention its a Lamp Post.
Didnt get the [implied] connection of the story with the pic, except that there is light involved!

Sen, thank you. Cam is the same C-750. I had help with finding the song, it is one of KJY's best hindi songs.
I had tried to add the target="_blank" before but it gave an html error.

Oh ML,

thought you'd catch it...

I had said the scene reminds of me 'vaan megam' song - and obviously it needs rain and photo lacks it....

So the pic misses droplets - and remember the recent discussion on cb's site about globes, blobs etc ;) ??

I'd rather forget that its an unromantic lamppost and sing,

chaand phir niklaa
magar tum na aaye
jalaa phir meraa dil
karun kyaa main haye
